Lyrthos
The Kingdom of Lyrthos (pronounced leer-toss) collapsed near the end of the Second Era. Lyrthos was situated in Saderan, along the Tyrthol Coast. Its capital city, Tyramenarthol, now a ruin and shadow of its former glory, was a wonder to behold in the hey-day of the Kingdom.
History
Tulis, the Royal Family of Lyrthos, ruled for just 3 generations; a little over 150 years.
For the last 90 years, Lyrthos was in fact ruled by Ayerma Tulis, also known as The Young Prince Regent. The kingdom prospered under his steady governance, until his sudden disappearance. He returned a year later, and with him trailed the wrath of the Sea Goddess, Vaeara. During his time away, it is said Ayerma seduced the Goddess and stole her heart. He then fled, inciting a rage within Vaeara, such that the Tyrthol Coast was cursed by the Goddess to be the victim of an endless and relentless storm, the epitome of her scorn.
When the people realised what Ayerma had brought upon their peaceful kingdom, they forsook him. In an attempt to appease Vaeara, he was taken to the highest rampart in Tyramenarthol and thrown into ocean. However, the damage was done and the curse remained. The Kingdom disintegrated, the citizens leaving the Tyrthol Coast for lands which were not victim to endless rain and howling gales.
